How to Submit for ABIM MOC Points

Part A MOC Availability July 31, 2012 to July 31, 2015
Part B MOC Availability December 31, 2012 to December 31, 2015

The American Board of Internal Medicine has approved MKSAP 16 for Evaluation of Medical Knowledge points under Maintenance of Certification (208 points for Part A and 192 points for Part B). If you are a qualified diplomate and enrolled in MOC, you can take the following steps for any MKSAP 16 test:

  1. Go to the Online Answer Sheets.
  2. Complete the test and score at least 50% correct.
  3. Hit the Submit for ABIM MOC points button, enter the required information, and the ABIM will register your points in 1-3 days.

**NEW: ABIM PATIENT SAFETY CREDIT NOW AVAILABLE FOR MKSAP 16 GENERAL INTERNAL MEDICINE!! This activity (MKSAP 16 General Internal Medicine Self-Assessment Questions) has been approved to meet ABIM's Patient Safety requirement. Upon completion and submission for MOC points (following instructions listed in items 1 to 3 above), you will automatically receive credit from ABIM for meeting this requirement. Qualified Diplomates who have submitted for MOC points beginning January 1, 2014, will earn Patient Safety credit retroactively.
