MKSAP 16 Updates for ABIM MOC Points

Update 1 Availability: July 31, 2013 to July 31, 2016
Update 2 Availability: January 15, 2014 to January 15, 2017
Update 3 Availability: July 31, 2014 to July 31, 2017
Update 4 Availability: January 15, 2015 to January 15, 2018

The American Board of Internal Medicine has approved MKSAP 16 Updates for 58 Evaluation of Medical Knowledge points under Maintenance of Certification (21 points for Update 1, 18 points for Update 2, 19 points for Update 3, and 19 points for Update 4). If you are a qualified diplomate and enrolled in MOC, you can take the following steps:

1. Log into MKSAP 16 Updates.
2. Complete all of the questions within MKSAP 16 Update 1, 2, 3, or 4 and score at least 50% correct.
3. Go to the Submissions tab within MKSAP 16 Updates, enter the required information, and the ABIM will register your points in 1-3 days.

MKSAP 16 Updates cannot be used to apply for Self-Evaluation of Practice Performance. Learn more about ABIM MOC requirements.
