How to Submit for ABIM MOC Points

Part A MOC Availability July 31, 2018 to July 31, 2021
(includes Cardiovascular Medicine, Dermatology, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Hematology/Oncology, Neurology, and Rheumatology)

Part B MOC Availability December 31, 2018 to December 31, 2021
(includes Endocrinology and Metabolism, General Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine)

The American Board of Internal Medicine has approved the MKSAP 18 Part A sections for up to 145 Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment points and the MKSAP 18 Part B sections for up to 130 Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Points under the Maintenance of Certification program. To be eligible to submit for MOC points, it is necessary to first successfully submit for CME credits. If you are a qualified diplomate and enrolled in MOC, you can take the following steps for any MKSAP 18 test:

  1. Go to the Online Answer Sheets.
  2. Complete the test and score at least 50% correct.
  3. Successfully submit for CME credit.
  4. Hit the Submit for ABIM MOC points button, enter the required information, and the ABIM will register your points in 1-3 days.
