How to Submit for CME

To earn CME credits for the print version of MKSAP 17, complete the online answer sheet for each test, score a minimum score of 50% correct, and then click on the Submit for CME credits button that appears after you have scored your test. You will receive an email confirming "same-day" CME credits. A record of your CME credits, including the ability to download and print PDF certificates, will be available to you via the Online Answer Sheets menu.

$15 Mail-in Option

For an administrative fee of $15 for each answer sheet, you can also mail or fax in your answer sheet for manual scoring and CME credit. Follow the instructions provided on the printed answer sheet at the back of your book. (Extra copies of the answer sheet are available on this site.)

CME Restrictions

CME credit will be provided to you only if you have purchased MKSAP 17 from ACP or from an authorized distributor. Your subscription is not transferrable to other users. Sharing the username and password associated with your subscription will compromise the security of your confidential CME credit history, undermine your account billing, and disrupt tracking of your CME credits. The ACP disclaims all responsibility and liability for any improper or unauthorized use of an individual's username and password.

If you are an ACP member, a transcript of your participation in MKSAP 17 and all other ACP-sponsored CME activities is available online as a benefit of your ACP membership. The online listing at http://www.acponline.org/education_recertification/cme/transcript compiles all CME credits that you have earned during the past 6 years.

Accreditation

The American College of Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American College of Physicians designates this enduring material, MKSAP 17, for a maximum of 200 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ^TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Audience

MKSAP 17 is specifically intended for physicians who provide personal, nonsurgical care to adults. Included are: general internists and primary care physicians; subspecialists who need to remain up-to-date in internal medicine; residents preparing for the Certification Exam in internal medicine; physicians preparing for the Maintenance of Certification Exam in internal medicine.

Learning Objectives

• Close gaps between actual care in your practice and preferred standards of care, based on best evidence
• Diagnose disease states that are less common and sometimes overlooked and confusing
• Improve management of comorbid conditions that can complicate patient care
• Determine when to refer patients for surgery or care by subspecialists
• Pass the ABIM Certification Examination and the ABIM Maintenance of Certification Examination.
