How do I know if I'm eligible for CME, ABIM MOC, MOC credits in Canada, or CPD credits in Australasia?

The easiest way is to click Submissions and select either CME or MOC. Your progress in each of the sections will be displayed. To be eligible, you need to answer all of the questions within a particular section, scoring a minimum of 50% correct.

After you submit for credit, the details of the Submission will be listed in the Submission History on the same page.

Why do I see a Submission History for CME but not for MOC?

We at the American College of Physicians (ACP) are the accredited providers of CME for MKSAP 17. As such, we are the official record keeper for all CME credits earned and submitted. However, the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) is the official implementer and manager of all Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points. When you submit for MOC from MKSAP 17, we send your information directly to the ABIM, which is responsible for receiving and processing your data and officially tracking receipt and awarding MOC points accordingly. For this reason, to track your MOC submissions and official MOC status, you must contact the ABIM directly (www.abim.org).

Why do I see CME credits in my Submission History even though I haven’t submitted for CME from MKSAP 17 Digital yet?

This Submission History section includes all CME earned within MKSAP 17 – not just those earned within MKSAP 17 Digital. As a service to our customers, we have automatically merged all of your MKSAP 17 CME credit/submission history into this single page. This means that even if you answered questions in the print version of MKSAP 17 and submitted for CME by mail or by entering your responses in an online answer sheet, these records, including links to your CME Certificates, will appear in your MKSAP 17 Submission History.

How do I document my learning?

Within the "Submissions" tab, click Document Your Learning. From this area, you'll be able to create, customize, and automatically email copies of PDF-formatted reports of your progress on MKSAP 17tests, including learning objectives of questions you answered correctly or incorrectly, as well as reflections on your learning. Follow the on-screen instructions to customize your reports to meet whatever needs you may have.
